Murcia Airport for the Costa Calida, Spain

Murcia (San Javier) Airport (MJV)

Murcia Airport is located at San Javier, approximately 40Km South East of Murcia, on the Western side of the Mar Menor with good motorway access South to La Manga or North to Torrevieja and Alicante.  It is approximately 35 kms from Mar de Cristal and is the nearest airport.

Car Hire

Book online with  Holiday Autos   or Auto Europe  to guarantee a car will be waiting for you. There are usually long queues for Europa, Europcar, Centauro, Sol-Mar.  You could also try

a taxi to Mar de Cristal will cost you approximately 50-80 euros

Shuttle Bus

you can book a transfer online from Shuttle Direct  They will meet you at the airport and take you right to your destination.

Buses

There are no public transport buses that go to Mar de Cristal from the airport.  You would have to get a local bus to the bus station and then catch another bus from there.  The bus service is very poor in Spain and virtually non-existent.
